OBM

Refund Policy

OBM Pro's refund terms in plain language: a 14-day refund window on your first purchase, cancel anytime with service until period end, and refunds processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.

We would rather you try OBM properly than pay for something that doesn't fit — that's what the 14-day free trial is for. But if money has changed hands and OBM isn't right for you, here is exactly how refunds work. All payments for OBM Pro are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, so all refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method.

1. First purchase — 14-day refund window

If you are unhappy with your first purchase of any OBM Pro plan (monthly or annual), tell us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. No forms, no exit interview — though we'll gratefully take one sentence about what didn't work.

2. Renewals

  • Subscriptions renew automatically, and renewal charges are not automatically refundable — cancelling before the renewal date is always free and takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • Forgot to cancel an annual renewal? Contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will refund it as a goodwill gesture, provided the new period's usage has been nominal.
  • If we materially reduce the Service's core functionality, you can cancel with a pro-rata refund of prepaid, unused fees (see the Terms, section 11).

3. What refunds don't cover

  • Periods where the Service worked as described but went unused. "We stopped using it in March" is a reason to cancel, not grounds for a March–July refund.
  • Accounts terminated for material breach of the acceptable-use rules (e.g. backing up systems without authorization).

4. Cancelling is not the same as requesting a refund

Cancelling stops future charges; your plan stays fully active until the end of the period you paid for, after which the account goes read-only — new backups stop, and everything already stored stays downloadable (Terms, section 8). A refund, where applicable, reverses a past charge. If we refund your only payment for the current period, the paid period ends and the read-only state starts immediately.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email [email protected] from your account's email address with the receipt or order number (it's on the Paddle invoice).
  2. We confirm eligibility within one business day.
  3. Paddle issues the refund to your original payment method. Banks typically post it within 5–10 business days.

You may also reach Paddle directly via the links on your receipt; Paddle honors this policy when handling OBM refund requests, and as merchant of record it may additionally grant refunds required by consumer law in your country.

6. VAT and taxes

Refunds include the VAT/sales tax charged on the refunded amount — Paddle handles the tax reversal automatically.

7. Questions

Unsure whether your case qualifies? Ask: [email protected]. The honest answer is that we approve almost every reasonable request — backup software only works if people trust the company behind it.
